From March 31 to May 5, 2023, in an online format in the amount of 72 hours, Doctor of Law Valery Lisitsa (Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk; Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia) conducted classes on the methodology of scientific research in the field of jurisprudence, within which he revealed the specifics of the organization of scientific work, requirements for master's and doctoral dissertations, structure and presentation of a scientific legal text. Special attention was paid to the problem of suitability and scientific novelty of the dissertation research. Within the framework of the research seminar, the topics, structure and main provisions of the undergraduates and doctoral students submitted for defense were discussed. Doctoral and undergraduates showed an increased interest in discussing the development of public speaking skills. Furthermore, lectures were given on topical issues of business and international private law. The lecturer highlighted theoretical approaches to understanding the essence, basic concepts and categories, institutions, legal statuses, legal relations in business and private international law, taking into account the development of modern economic relations.
